Drive Share has no server and no database. Nothing you do with it is sent to us, because there is nowhere for it to be sent. We cannot see your folders, your files, the links you make, or who opens them.
What the extension keeps on your computer
Three things, stored by Chrome on your own machine and never transmitted anywhere:
- Your licence key, so you only enter it once.
- The date you first opened the extension, to count the trial period.
- A list of the folders you recently made links for, so you can copy them again.
Removing the extension deletes all of it.
What leaves your computer
Two requests, both to companies other than us:
- Google. To show a folder's contents, the extension and the page ask the Google Drive API what is inside a folder you chose. Only folders you have already shared publicly can be read. Google's handling of that request is covered by Google's own privacy policy.
- Lemon Squeezy. When you activate a licence key, the key is sent to Lemon Squeezy once to check that it is valid. Payment is handled entirely by them; we never see card details.
The gallery page
The page your recipients open sets no cookies, runs no analytics, and identifies nobody. It reads the folder id from the link, asks Google for the list of files, and shows them. Photos and videos are loaded straight from Google's servers, so their content never passes through ours.
Who can see a link
A link is unguessable but not secret. Anyone you send it to can open it, and can pass it on. A link stops working the moment you stop sharing the underlying folder in Google Drive.
Children
Drive Share is a tool for professional and personal file sharing and is not directed at children under 13.
Changes
If this policy changes, the date at the top changes with it.
